Acousticophobia - Fear of Noises
Acousticophobia can lead to extreme senses of paranoia, as the thought that a loud noise will arise virtually cripples the sufferer socially.

WORD FACTS:
Acousticophobia is derived from the greek word Acousticos, which means to hear sound. Acousticophobia is also derived from Phobos, the Greek God of fear (Obviously).

SCIENCE:
As far as acousticophobia is understood, there is no clear cause, leading people to consider it the simple combination of bad luck, trauma, and genetics. HOWEVER... I am not satisfied with this! I have a theory that would create a small genetic link between acousticophobia and evolution!
Typically, predators will make loud noises to stake claim to land and to ward off potential rivals. Animals that are more docile, don’t do this because it alerts predators to their presence. I believe that the evolving human brain associated these loud noises, such as roars with danger; this, combined with a genetic mishap, could lead to a heightened fear of loud noises. (Technically it is still genetics, but they mean that it can run in a family. I am trying to explain where it came from. There has to be a first sufferer before they pass it down, right?)

The CARD:
I sort of just thought, that it would be interesting to have a card that causes the game to be silent for someone. My brothers and I would sometimes, just for fun set up a rule that we don’t talk or write out what we want to say, and if we speak, we lose life. I took that concept and put it onto one player so that in order to keep a creature, they must be quiet. I made the spell a Dimir, because limiting people in strange ways and messing with minds is just the sort of thing that they do.

Xenophobia

Xenophobia is rather common, which to be honest is kinda sad. Xenophobia is one of the most common fears in the world. I do understand why Xenophobia is prevalent; the fear of strange or foreign concepts is hardwired into the brain and has been there before we fully evolved to be Homo Sapiens. It was a necessary fear and was crucial to our survival; if we weren’t dubious and afraid of things we didn’t know, we would’ve carelessly wandered into countless brutal deaths. Ambulophobia - Fear of Walking --------------------------------------------------------------------------- WORD FACTS: Ambulophobia is derived from the Latin word ambulō, ambulāre, ambulāvī, ambulatus/a/um , which means to walk.
