Xenophobia


Xenophobia is rather common, which to be honest is kinda sad. Xenophobia is one of the most common fears in the world. I do understand why Xenophobia is prevalent; the fear of strange or foreign concepts is hardwired into the brain and has been there before we fully evolved to be Homo Sapiens. It was a necessary fear and was crucial to our survival; if we weren’t dubious and afraid of things we didn’t know, we would’ve carelessly wandered into countless brutal deaths. This fear is no longer needed to survive each and every day, but it still exists. This hardwired fear is still more or less ubiquitous, because it hasn’t been that long since the point when this was survival necessary, at least on the scale of evolution. The human brain hasn’t had enough time to realize that this is no long relevant and that you don’t need this. A weaker form of xenophobia is hardwired into every human brain and has been since prehistoric times, but those with a fully fledged xenophobia are so overtaken by this fear that they cannot function throughout the day. If someone has a full diagnosed xenophobia, they will shut down as soon as the chance of encountering strange or foreign concepts emerges.

tl;dr: Everyone has a minimal xenophobic thoughtset hardwired in their brain, but those with a diagnosed xenophobia are debilitated by the mere chance of encountering foreign or strange concepts.

    This is really interesting! I didn't know this about Xenophobia. I had no idea about its origins or anything.
    In terms of your card, it doesn't really fit what Xenophobia is. (It's also a colour pie break, but let's not get into that.) I'd suggest something along the lines of:
    3www
    Xenophobia
    Sorcery
    Choose a creature you control. Destroy all creatures that don't share a colour with that creature.
