Ablutophobia

Ablutophobia - the persistent, abnormal, and usually unwanted fear of bathing, washing, or cleaning one’s self.
I really dont know what to say about this fear. And not to offend anyone who might have this fear (this upcoming sentence is from the heart (i’m sorry)) but I think that Ablutophobia is stupid. I understand that many small children dont like bathing, but when an adult is not just in a state of dislike, but fear, things must’ve gotten too far. Ive tried to find a point in the human evolution where this fear might’ve stemmed from, but I couldn’t find it. So, with lack of knowledge gained from this quest of research into ablutophobia, I have to say this: To anyone who is so misfortunate to have developed this fear, I feel really sorry for you, you tortured, and probably smelly soul. Also try therapy or something. I am probably more disappointed than any view right now, because I let myself down on this one.

Remember: please comment. Let me know what you think, and help point me in a direction that is still informational, but you will be more able to enjoy. Thx.

  1. I don't think it's fair to call this fear stupid. Phobias are more or less uncontrollable, from what I understand, so it's not that the person is choosing to be scared of bathing.
That being said, it is a little peculiar.
As for your card, it could use some work. If it's an enchantment, it should last for an indefinite amount of time. How about:
    Ablutophobia
    1u
    Enchant creature
As long as you control an island, enchanted creature doesn't untap during its controllers untap step, and its activated abilities can't be activated.
When you control no islands, sacrifice Ablutophobia.
    Keep up the good work!

  2. Thank you again Noah. As I said I knew that would come across as mean or offensive, but I did not mean to imply that they are in control of it or that they are choosing to fear bathing. Thank you for the feedback on the card too. That sounds much better.
