Aichmophobia - fear of needles and other sharp objects

WORD HISTORY:
Aichmophobia is derived from Phobos (obviously), and the Greek word Aichmē which means point.

A person suffering from Aichmophobia will avoid needles or medical procedures that involve needles by any means necessary. With their avoidance of needles, at least they will never do heroin.

SYMPTOMS:
Symptoms of Aichmophobia occur almost instantly when in exposure to needles or other needle like pointy objects:
● Feelings of dread or panic
● Rapid and uncontrollable response to their fear, such as fainting.
● Rapid Heartbeat
● Shortness of Breath
● Trembling
● Extreme Avoidance

Yay Oddballs! Aichmophobia has no universally specific or accepted cause! XD
There is the belief that the fear of sharp things had been somewhat wired into the human brain over the evolutionary journey of humans. With that idea, then Aichmophobia is just a rare manifestation, that results in a phobia. Of course there are also traumatic events such as seeing a dead person with needles in them while you are young. (Don’t do heroin, learn from the dead man). But that was an extremely traumatic example from my maddened mind, here are some more likely and tame instances:
• Enduring a painful medical procedure as a child
• Witnessing a painful medical procedure as a child
• Being attacked with a sharp object
• Physical or emotional damage
• Or Aichmophobia can stem from Iatrophobia, the fear of doctors.

 The CARD:
I made Aichmophobia a colorless spell so that it can fit in most decks, what with there being more lands now that produce colorless mana. I chose to create a spell that restricted the actions of a creature by using a players artifacts against them to limit their strategy and capabilities. Aside from that, there wasn't actually that much thought that went into it...

Xenophobia is rather common, which to be honest is kinda sad. Xenophobia is one of the most common fears in the world. I do understand why Xenophobia is prevalent; the fear of strange or foreign concepts is hardwired into the brain and has been there before we fully evolved to be Homo Sapiens. It was a necessary fear and was crucial to our survival; if we weren’t dubious and afraid of things we didn’t know, we would’ve carelessly wandered into countless brutal deaths. Ambulophobia - Fear of Walking --------------------------------------------------------------------------- WORD FACTS: Ambulophobia is derived from the Latin word ambulō, ambulāre, ambulāvī, ambulatus/a/um , which means to walk.
