Agrizoophobia

Agrizoophobia - the fear of wild animals

The SCIENCE:
Alright... This will be fun for me. Any of you who have been following my blog for a while will know that I love to dive into the ancient past of human evolution to explain away fears. Because of that, this is like Christmas come early 😆😨.
For the explanation of Agrizoophobia, we will need to dive into the time before civilization; a time that was from the days of the Homo Erectus. Ancient humans needed to be careful; everything was in search of food and they were as good as any. This meant that we needed to be cautious of our surroundings, including the animals. The evolving human brain adapted and in it became the hardwired idea that wild animals are to be feared and avoided. As humans developed into the Homo Sapien, we kept out of danger by staying away from animals that were potentially dangerous. As societies developed, the main sources of food were grown crops and fish, because by farming and fishing, rather than hunting, we were putting ourselves in the least possible danger.

The Card:
Agrizoophobia was made a Red and Green spell because it synergizes well with the archetype of tanky beasts and other such creatures being red, green, or both. The mana cost is slightly high because unless someone would use this in a deck that makes no sense to put it in, Agrizoophobia will be either debilitating or a kill card. the reason such effects would happen is that people were more and more helpless the more and more wild animals there were. Also, at a point, there will be so many wild animals, that death is inevitable.

A shoutout to Tomigon for making this amazing card!

I really appreciate the support. And I hope that enthusiasm for my project will only grow with time.

Thank you everyone for reading my blog, you have no idea how much this means to me. If you haven’t yet, follow my blog or my Google+, we aren’t yet sure how to follow a blog itself. Leave a comment please to show your support. Feedback on what you want to see in my research is welcome as well as feedback on the card itself. After Alliumphobia, I will need to start up again making cards as I go, so I can be reached to suggest ideas for the next phobia card. Once again, I really appreciate any and all support, it means so much to me. Leave a comment and follow my on Google+!

Always remember, it is you the viewers, not me, who are making my dreams come true! (Technically nightmares tho bc of the fears lqtm.)

  2. I knew that (obviously) early humans had an innate fear of wild animals, but I never knew that the phobia had a name! Very cool. I like that you're adding explanations about the cards.

Only problem is the effect. The thing is, giving subtactions to power and toughness is black and blue's domain. Perhaps it could be a damage dealing spell; how's this?

each Beast creature you control deals damage equal to its power to target creature.
I think this is more than balanced. Compare to Moonlight Hunt.
